On 12th July, 2012, at the Circolo Tennis (Tennis Club) of Reggio Emilia in Villa Canali - on the occasion of the annual "Festa Giovani" (summer youth party) - a memorable encounter took place between X-Treme and X-Factor. It happened at the concert starring Antonella Lo Coco, second runner-up, but actually ‘moral winner' of the fifth X-Factor Italia show. The twenty-seven year old artist from Emilia, protégée of singer Arisa, gave an absolutely brilliant performance, singing for almost two hours with a crystal clear voice, at times reminiscent of the vocals of Alanis Morissette, to the delight of an audience of over 1,500 paying guests. Among the songs she performed were a couple of new ones from her first album "Cuore scoppiato" and many cover songs, among which her interesting versions of pieces by Giuni Russo, Formula 3, Battiato and Everything but the Girl were particularly striking.
A key contribution to making the best of Antonella's excellent singing skills was made by the X-Treme audio system, consisting of two stacks made up of three XTMISI, two XTMISIS and one XTHPS21 per channel and six XTMON15; all of which were supplied by Leonardo Calza from Exaudio, one of the earliest companies to be selected as an X-Treme Partner in Italy. At the close of the concert, Antonella Lo Coco herself echoed the widespread satisfaction, when she said: "I felt very comfortable on the stage and they assured me that the sound delivery was excellent on the club lawns as well." Comments to the same effect were voiced by the technical staff of Space Music, the artist's own service team. At the end of the evening, Paolo Ligabue said: "Congratulations to X-Treme and Leonardo Calza's team, who showed themselves to be equal to this very demanding undertaking".
The concert was held outdoors, with the night sky providing a magnificent backdrop, on the premises of an exclusive facility that proved to be perfectly capable of adapting itself to this kind of event. The director of Circolo Tennis Reggio Francesco Gambetti declared with satisfaction: "The event was a major success: as well as the great response of the audience, mostly made up of the young and very young people who flooded the large areas we made available to them, I must also mention how the high-quality show, supported by the reliability of Sound Corporation technology, made for a very successful and unforgettable evening as a whole".
After Antonella Lo Coco's performance, in fact, the DJ set of the team led by Lorenzo Fornaciari - a well-known DJ in the Reggio Emilia clubbing scene - made the public dance the night away: the perfect finale for a mid-summer night that was truly a dream!
