X-Treme Audio generates files for
EASE acoustic prediction software and makes them available to customers.
The format selected is
.gll (
Generic Loudspeaker Library), the most recent one introduced by the German company SDA, which produces the software. The main signature feature of this format is that it can manage both arrays and clusters of loudspeakers (with all the problems of interference that can derive from these), according to factory-set geometries with degrees of freedom that can be modified by the user.
The
.gll files, as well as being imported into EASE for acoustic prediction indoors, can also be opened using the freeware
GLL Viewer, which makes it possible to set and view a number of different geometric configurations of the array (or cluster) concerned, enabling the user to then calculate and view a series of data relating to the emission of the entire system, such as frequency response and directivity.
